Liquid Lipstick Obsession

Kat Von D Cosmetics is #winning in Sephora right now! I didn’t believe all the hype until I actually tried some of the products myself. I’m literally obsessed with her Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the color…can you guess…yep..Lolita 2!  This lip color is seriously everlasting and is the absolute perfect everyday color for ANY SKIN TONE! It’s the perfect brown-ish, nude-ish, rosie-ish color if that makes any sense. It dries matte and works perfect on its own. I don’t use a lip liner with this but you can if you want to over line your lips for a fab Kylie Jenner look.

Here are some of the colors from the line. The one at the very bottom is Lolita 2, look how perfect it looks on each skin tone!

Here are a few good lip liners that pair well with this color

Lip Liner Pairings for Lotlita 2

Run to Sephora and get this color if you can get your hands on it. ! It seriously is GORG!

A Few Beauty Favorites for Winter

winter essentials 2016(1)one|two|three|four|five|six|seven|eight

Hi Everyone! As we all know, winter can be harsh on your skin so for me, transitioning products to winter is a must. My skin and hair have been extremely dry this winter and most of it is due to the pregnancy. I can tell you right now that my top favorite thing out of the eight is the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil. You can use that oil literally everywhere and keeps your skin, hair and nails hydrated throughout the day. It’s an important step in my nighttime skincare routine. The Loccitane hand cream is an essential item for your purse and works like a charm. The almond scent is my favorite:). The lip scrub and lip conditioner work so good together and the Organix Weightless Argan oil is perfect for the ends of your hair! Right now the Palmers Coco Butter lotion with Coconut Oil is perfect for my dry skin and the scent I’m loving right now from Jo Malone is the Wood Sage and Sea Salt!!!! Kiko Milano is an Italian cosmetic company and I was lucky enough to get a few items from the line straight out of Italy as gifts! I hope you get a chance to try some of this stuff out if you haven’t already :).

A few random items that I think are great for this time of year!

Holiday Gift Guide for Men

Men can be tricky when it comes to gift giving. Most of the time they will go out and get what they want themselves. One tip I have is to think about their personality and/or hobbies when buying a gift for a boyfriend, dad, uncle, husband, or brother. They can either be super simple and carefree, a gadget lover, or super stylish and trendy. Here are some super cool gift ideas for the man in your life.

Winter Essentials

The Floppy Hat

We all know that wearing a hat not only keeps your head somewhat warm but it also allows us girls to have a bad hair day every once in a while. This is such a fun accessory for the winter giving you a chic and sophisticated look. Throw this on with your favorite sweater and sunglasses and you will instantly look put together. Easy.

Miss Guided Waterfall Collarless Trench Coat

Forever 21 Hooded Longline Marled Cardigan

The Perfect Leggings

Leggings oh how I love you. These are a winter essential for sure no matter who you are. I think leggings are going to be around forever and will never get old. Worn the right way, leggings are very stylish, chic and comfortable on any woman.  No matter where you get them, the secret to a fab legging is to make sure they are thick, opaque and comfortable. I like wearing them with tops that are not to long but cover my behind for sure. My favorite leggings are sold at J.Crew and Limited.

J.Crew GiGi Pant

Limited Pocket Leggings

Ok lets talk ponchos. I have always been into these through the years but I think this winter they are becoming more popular. Let me tell you, When you don’t know what to wear and are in a hurry, throw on all black and a poncho and you will look so fab! You can find these at just about ANY retail store. I found one of mine at Old Navy for under $40.

Old Navy Open Front Wool Blend Poncho

A little Shimmer

A lot of us wear statement pieces and shimmer year around but I think its even more necessary to sport your biggest and shiniest things during the winter. Not only are they fun and festive, this is such an easy way to jazz up a simple dress or top during the winter time.

Bauble Bar Ice Queen Collar

J.Crew Crystal Wreath Necklace

Holiday Dress

Holiday season comes with holiday gatherings, balls, and cocktail parties. So having the perfect dress is essential during this time of year. Here are a few of my favorites at the moment.

Express Mixed Lace and Fishnet Sheath Dress

Express Knit Lace Fringe Crop Tee and Skirt

Miss Guided Lace Cut Out Bodycon Dress

Faux Fur

I love a good faux fur vest. They are super stylish and warm and easy to dress up or down. I’ve worn my vest with leggings, dresses and jeans. When buying faux fur, make sure it doesn’t look extra fake and the material is soft and doesn’t bother you. Some fur pieces tend to shed and get all over the place so make sure you test it good before you waste your money. Check out these options!

Celebrity Pink Faux Shearling Vest

Express Faux Fur Chevron Vest

White House Black Market Faux Fur Vest

Over Sized Scarves

There’s nothing much to say about a good over sized scarf except that you need one! Like most of these winter essentials, this pulls together a look in two seconds. You can wear it with anything and will keep you warm for sure. I love a good blanket scarf because you can wrap up in it or wear it around the neck. These are perfect for traveling as well. Pack this in your carry-on for your next flight or when going on a road trip this winter.

Zara Soft Check Scarf

Target Oversized Houndstooth Blanket Scarf

Boot Socks

Boot socks are so much fun when wearing combat boots, duck boots and rain boots. I personally love the layering look when wearing shorter style boots, it just gives you a more stylish look. My favorite shorter boot this winter are duck boots (here, here, and here).

LL Bean Cotton Rag Camp Socks

Lands End Thermaskin Heat Marl Boot Socks

JCPenny Muk Luks Marled Boot Socks

The Chloe “Drew” Bag Alert

The Drew

Hey Everyone! Ok so….I’m totally obsessed with the new “IT” bag by Chloe. It is super stylish and will go with everything:) The Chloe “Drew”  bag is all over the internet getting top reviews from bloggers and videos of designer obsessed you tubers. The brand is so feminine and is perfect for achieving that modern day 70s look. It takes three months from start to finish for one bag to insure that it will be a piece you will have forever. It comes in a variety of colors and prints to satisfy all styles.  Ladies we NEED this bag.  The Drew is so fab and is just the right size to carry any essentials you need. It comes with a chain strap long enough  to wear cross body or on the shoulder. There is a key that is located on the front of the bag to lock the front flap when needed. The Chloe Drew shoulder bag retails for $1,850-$3,990 (EEK!).

Seriously though, how sick is that pale pink python Drew?…TO DIE FOR RIGHT??? Don’t worry girls, if you don’t want to fork over that cash for these fun little dream bags I found a few looks for less that I think will do the job :).

Old Navy

Forever 21 has a similar bag as well but is sold out for now! They are usually good about restocking their online store so keep checking back for it!

Are you loving the Drew as much as I am???

State Fair Fun

This past weekend my family along with the rest of North Carolina attended the state fair and all its southern glory. The air was filled with the smell of corn on the cob, fried dough and cotton candy (yes I can smell cotton candy from a mile away:))  The weather was nice but got chilly once the sun set so boots were absolutely necessary. Now that I’m slowly approaching my 6th month of pregnancy, it was a must to dress comfortable and throw my hair up in a bun so I can maneuver through the crowds like a crazy lady.

Even with all the dust and dirt we managed to kick up, I was still able to snap a few outfit pics. I normally don’t stick to a specific style when it comes to fashion, today I’m calling this outfit simple and southern.

Necklace-Charming Charlie (similar)

If you live in the south you know how important monogramming is. We southern girls WILL monogram any and everything if there’s an option. I love this monogrammed vest from Marley Lilly. It can be styled simple like with the top I’m wearing or can be layered with additional prints for a more stylish look:)

You haven’t lived in the south until you catch yourself walking around with a giant turkey leg in one hand and a large sweet tea in the other. YUM!

Some of the funny foods offered at the fair…I’m not sure about tasting the gator mac n cheese.

This waterfall was the perfect place to stop and recharge before tackling the rest of the madness.

I love wearing minimal makeup when outdoors.

On my face:

Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm

Sephora Outrageous Curl Mascara,

MAC shadow on my brows in the color Espresso,
